Individuals, families, businesses and organizations will step up to prevent child abuse on April 18, by taking part in the 2010 Walk for Children, Jones Beach .

Join us for an event for the whole family to support safe and happy childhoods for all of New York's children. The walk is a rain or shine event.

You can walk individually or you can organize a team of family, friends, or co-workers.

Every step you take and every dollar you raise helps to fund child abuse prevention programs!

How do you participate in the 2010 Walk for Children, Jones Beach?

1. Register. If you prefer not to register online, call 1-800-CHILDREN.
2. Get sponsors. A great first step in getting sponsors is to create your own personal fundraising page. Our Walker Fundraising Handbook includes many terrific fundraising ideas. Please contact the walk organizers if you would like some collection envelopes for your sponsorship money.
3. Walk! Check in at Jones Beach, Field 5, at 9 a.m. on April 18. The walk will begin at 10 a.m., rain or shine.
